Conspit has officially presented the 300GT steering wheel: an advanced, lightweight sim racing wheel aimed at serious sim racers who demand uncompromising precision, rich feedback and full control. With a diameter of 300 mm and an impressive weight of just 1150 grams (excluding quick release), the 300GT specifically targets the GT and endurance segment. The pricing is remarkably competitive, making it clear that Conspit is positioning itself as a direct challenger to popular models such as the Simagic GT NEO. In this article, we tell you everything you need to know about this serious challenger in the GT segment.

Top-level construction and use of materials

What immediately stands out about the Conspit 300GT is its build quality. The front end is made of 12-layer T-300 carbon fibre, a material that is also used in Le Mans race cars because of its high stiffness and extremely low mass. This front end weighs only 43 grams. The rear consists of an injection-moulded aluminium housing, which has been CNC machined for maximum structural integrity and minimum weight. The result is a handlebar that not only feels solid, but also directly contributes to an enhanced force feedback experience thanks to its low rotating mass.

Ergonomics: EnduroGrips for comfort and control

The 300GT is equipped with so-called EnduroGrips, formed on the basis of long-term ergonomic analyses. These grips are made of TPU, which Conspit says is three times more durable than the commonly used TPE. These grips are similar to those on the Conspit 290 GP. It not only ensures longer life, but also greater comfort during long racing sessions. The grip supports both a two- and three-finger stance, allowing racers to adjust their hand position according to driving style without compromising control or comfort.

Comprehensive controls with 110 programmable functions

One of the main selling points of the 300GT is the number of inputs: as many as 110 functions are programmable. This is made possible by:

  • 8 fully configurable RGB buttons
  • 2 ergonomic ThumbClick™ dials
  • 3 dual-mode rotary encoders (absolute and relative mode)
  • 2 classic encoder dials
  • 2 joysticks for menu or camera navigation

In addition, the wheel features a unique encoder remap function. This allows riders to adjust the functions of their encoders live, with instant visual feedback on the built-in 2.99″ colour display (800×268 px). This is a feature normally found only on much more expensive models.

Magnetic shift paddles and fully programmable clutch

The shift paddles are equipped with Hall sensors and operate fully magnetically, providing a quiet, precise and extremely durable shifting experience. The shift pressure can be adjusted between 550gf, 660gf and 900gf, allowing each user to set their own preference. Also based on Hall technology, the dual clutch offers multiple mappings via Conspit Link 2.0, including the well-known “bite point” configuration for optimal starts in GT3 or Formula cars, for example.

Advanced lighting and display functionality

The Conspit 300GT is visually impressive with 56 RGB LEDs:

  • 8 button lights
  • 12 RPM LEDs (on top of the handlebar)
  • 36 individual LEDs around the rotary encoders

Everything is fully customisable via SimHub and can be integrated with telemetry from virtually any popular sim racing platform. The display offers five dash pages and is designed for maximum readability in both daylight and dark rooms. The encoder remap function ensures that features are automatically displayed depending on the active mapping.

Software integration with Conspit Link 2.0

Conspit supplies the 300GT with a new version of their configuration software: Conspit Link 2.0. This provides a clear interface for adjusting buttons, clutch, lighting, encoder mappings and even deadzones. The software is actively maintained and supports automatic firmware updates. Integration with SimHub allows users to fine-tune their setup down to the smallest details.

Universal compatibility and easy montage

Thanks to its universal 70mm PCD bolt pattern, the 300GT is compatible with a wide range of popular bases, including those from Asetek, Simucube, Fanatec, Simagic, VRS and MOZA. Connection to the PC is via a Quick-Con adapter and a military-grade spiral cable, which ensures a stable and durable data connection. Please note that this wheel is suitable for PC use only and not compatible with consoles.

Conspit 300GT price: a new standard in the mid-range segment

What makes the Conspit 300GT special is how well its specifications and features compare with its price tag. With a recommended retail price of only € 449 the new Conspit 300GT is hugely competitively priced.

Here, Conspit offers a handlebar that rivals handlebars hundreds of euros more expensive in terms of finish, features and expandability. In doing so, the brand sets the bar high for established players such as Simagic, Cube Controls and Ascher Racing.

Especially when compared to the Simagic GT NEO, it becomes clear that Conspit is choosing an aggressive positioning: an equally lightweight wheel, but with a more elaborate display, more customisable lighting and direct encoder mapping. This makes the 300GT an extremely interesting choice for sim racers looking for maximum functionality at a competitive price.

The Conspit 300GT is a smart move by Conspit

Conspit shows with the 300GT that it wants to compete with the top of the market. The combination of professional materials, smart features and an attractive price makes this wheel one of this year's most promising new products in my opinion. For sim racers looking to upgrade their setup with a wheel that impresses both visually and functionally, the 300GT is definitely worth considering. Are you convinced? Order today's steering wheel!
