The biggest update since the Early Access launch of Le Mans Ultimate is available from now on. The Le Mans Ultimate June update (update 5) brings ground-breaking innovations such as live driver swaps, expanded team management, custom liveries and the full FIA WEC 2024 grid to the game. Sim racers can get ready for an overall experience closer to real-life endurance racing than ever before.
Driver Swaps: real teamwork during long races
One of the most requested features has finally become a reality: live driver swaps. In selected online endurance events, players can now virtually hand over the car to their teammate. As in the real WEC, this means planning, communicating and thinking strategically during your stint. Whether you are driving, coordinating pit stops or encouraging your teammate, cooperation is essential.
Currently, driver swaps are only available in specially organised events. Studio 397 uses this phase to monitor performance and make further optimisations. You will find out when and where these events take place via Le Mans Ultimate's official channels and in-game notifications.

Team management: From solo to squad
The new team feature within RaceControl allows you to race as a full crew. You create your own team, assign roles (such as driver, engineer or team manager) and participate in events as a formation. Teams are given a combined DR (Driver Rating) and SR (Safety Rating), ensuring fair matchmaking and measurable progress.
The big advantage? Everything happens within the game - so no external spreadsheets or Discord bots needed to organise your team.
Custom Liveries: give your car character
The long-awaited livery editor is now live. Players can finally design and use their own colour schemes during online races. Do you have a RaceControl Pro or Pro+ account? Then you can upload your livery so that all participants and spectators can see your design in real-time.
By the way, anyone can use the showroom feature to view liveries or try them out offline. Support for private servers will follow in an upcoming update.

DLC Pack 5: The complete 2024 WEC grid
With the addition of the fifth content pack, the 2024 FIA WEC grid is now fully available in Le Mans Ultimate. The update introduces two new cars: the Lamborghini Huracán LMGT3 Evo2 and the Lexus RC F LMGT3. In addition, the Lusail International Circuit has been added, including a short variant of the track. This further enriches the racing landscape with variety and new strategies for both multiclass and sprint events.
In total, the game now features 11 tracks with a total of 21 different layouts. In terms of vehicles, 25 cars are now available, including eleven Hypercars, one LMP2, four GTEs and nine models within the LMGT3 class. This expansion costs €11.99 and is included at no extra cost for players with an active Season Pass.

Technical improvements: More than just new content
Besides the new features, the game's fundamentals have also been tinkered with considerably. A selection from the long list of optimisations:
- New LMGT3 tyre physics: more realism, less sliding exploits
- Better race starts with classification and optimal positioning
- Improved fuel strategy thanks to an updated MFD screen
- Clutch protection prevents unfair use above 1st gear
- HUD fixes and UI improvements make racing more manageable
- Track updates such as audiences, billboards and visual props at Le Mans, Spa and more
- BOP adjustments at Hypercars For a better balance between manufacturers
For those looking to get the most out of their LMGT3, it is also good to know that there are new ABS/TC adjustments, as well as further refinements to engine settings and FFB equalisation.

What's in store?
A new keynote from Studio 397 will follow at the ACO press conference in Le Mans on 13 June. CEO Stephen Hood will explain future plans there. The keynote will also be broadcast on YouTube. According to earlier hints, this could well be about support for private servers, single player enhancements or even the first step towards console versions.
