Cube Controls recently launched the new Cube Controls F-Core EVO announced, a further development of their most affordable sim racing wheel. This version brings a series of upgrades that take performance and feel to the next level, while keeping the price attractive. For sim racers looking for a combination of quality, looks and driving feel, the F-Core EVO is a promising option.

Cube Controls F-Core EVO: The Main Improvements

Cube Controls has long been known for its high-quality workmanship, Italian craftsmanship and premium steering wheels. The original F-Core was already impressive for its price range, but with the EVO they show that even an entry-level model doesn't have to compromise. You can find the main improvements below.

Cube Controls F-Core EVO

Motorsport-Grade Shifters

The standard plastic paddles have been replaced by aluminium motorsport-grade switches, which come from Cube Controls' higher-end models. This makes every shift feel more solid, precise and professional.

To adapt to different racing styles, the Cube Controls F-Core EVO is available with two types of shifters:

  • Formula shifters (available in blue or black) - the same high-quality switches as on our flagship, the CSX-3.
  • GT shifters (available in red or black) - identical to ours AMG GT Sim Wheel.

With the F-Core EVO, Cube Controls brings their best technology and real-world-inspired design to an entry-level wheel, making high-end sim racing accessible to any enthusiast.

Enhanced Encoders

The dials have also been revamped. The plastic encoders have given way to robust and accurate motorsport-grade ones. This gives a more reliable and consistent feel when adjusting settings while racing.

New colours and appearance

The Cube Controls F-Core EVO gets a fresh, stylish look and is available in three colour options: Full Black, Full Red and Full Blue. This allows you to completely tailor your setup to your personal preference.

My Opinion About The F-Core EVO

I am hugely curious about this upgrade. The original Cube Controls F-Core is and remains one of my favourite handlebars - clean design, solid build quality and a wonderful and authentic steering feel! But the newer Cube Controls GTX2 is also very good. For a handlebar in this price range, it was already one of the best choices on the market. If the EVO version reinforces the existing formula with even better components, then Cube Controls has gold in its hands.

I appreciate Cube Controls huge for their uncompromising approach: Italian design combined with technical perfection. Each handlebar feels like a professional instrument - and if the F-Core EVO offers that same experience to a wider audience, then this is undoubtedly one of the most interesting releases of the year!
