The launch feels like a new milestone: a complete ecosystem where hardware, software and community merge. It is no longer just about pure power or refined force feedback, but the next step - an open and collaborative platform that brings the industry closer together and takes every sim racer's experience to the next level.
A new phase for Simucube
Six years ago, the Simucube 2 (tip: also check out our Simucube 2 Sport review) sparked a revolution. Since then, the name has become synonymous with precision, power and unparalleled feedback. Where other brands often opt for incremental updates, Simucube opts for disruption. The move to Simucube 3 therefore feels more like a reinvention than a successor. It is the foundation for a new generation of sim racing hardware in which reliability, communication and experience come together.
"The launch of Simucube 3 is not about one product, but about collaboration," says Tero Kontkanen, CTO and co-founder of Simucube. "Only by bringing together the best engineers and brands can we build the simulator of the future."
Vanaf dag één staan grote namen aan hun zijde: BavarianSimTec, Lovely Sim Racing, Ascher Racing, Delta Sim-Tech, P1Sim, SimCore en GSI ontwikkelen hun eigen Simucube Link compatibele stuurwielen. De BavarianSimTec Delta Pro SC kicks off first and immediately marks an impressive start to this new collaboration. Cube Controls and SimRacingBay have also already announced that their next-generation steering wheels will be fully Simucube Link ready.

Simucube Link - one language for the entire simulator
At the heart of this launch is Simucube Link: an open but controlled platform that finally ensures true standardisation between steering wheels, wheelbases and peripherals. No more loose interfaces or unreliable connections - everything communicates via galvanically isolated Ethernet and contactless data and power transmission with the new LightBridge system. This makes the connection not only faster, but also more secure and consistent - essential at a time when active hardware such as motion platforms and haptic pedals are demanding more and more power.
CEO Hannu Harju articulates it aptly:
"Simucube is, at its core, an industrial technology company. That background enables us to build products that are not only powerful, but also unconditionally reliable. Our ecosystem is closed to the point where we can guarantee quality - but above that, it is open."

For developers, this means direct communication in real physical units such as torque, damping and friction via the Simucube Link API. This finally makes force feedback measurable, predictable and reproducible - a huge step forward for both software and hardware developers. Simucube stresses that in the future, this API will also be open for integration with game developers and even professional motorsport teams looking to tune their simulators to real-world data.
The Link Wheel Module - freedom for builders
One of the most interesting new components is the Link Wheel Module: a compact, integrated unit with touchscreen, LED controller and input management. Ideal for brands and modders who want to build their own steering wheels, fully compatible with Simucube 3 or via USB with other bases. The idea behind this is simple: every builder should be able to integrate professional functionality without detours.
The module centralises all the electronics, provides local rendering and even allows the screen to be used as a touchpad to control your PC, simulator or Tuner software. It eliminates the need for internal USB hubs, fragile connectors or extra circuit boards. This makes building high-quality steering wheels more accessible than ever. And thanks to integration with Simucube Tuner 3.0 LED profiles, dashboards and telemetry can be set up directly from one interface.
Simucube 3 wheelbase comes in three versions
The Simucube 3 series comes in three versions:
- Sport (15Nm) - aimed at racers who want maximum precision in a compact size.
- Pro (25Nm) - the new centrepiece of the range, with power, speed and control in perfect balance.
- Ultimate (35Nm) - for those who accept nothing less than absolute top performance.
All variants get completely new motors, updated algorithms and telemetry-driven effects for more detail in road structure, ABS and RPM feedback. The Simucube Link Quick Release uses a polygon profile and the LightBridge system, making slip rings and physical connectors a thing of the past once and for all.
Simucube Savu - minimalist and functional
With the launch of the Simucube Savu Sport and Savu Pro Simucube finally adds their own steering wheels to their line-up. No excessive screens or buttons, but a balanced design that focuses on feel, ergonomics and build quality. The cast aluminium housing, silent magnetic shifters and illuminated buttons make them especially thoughtful. Every detail has been developed in collaboration with racers who work with this kind of hardware on a daily basis - an approach that can be felt as soon as you grab the handlebars.
The Savu series is also designed to work perfectly with the new Quick Release, making every change seamless and cable-free. And anyone who has ever experienced the button quality of a Simucube accessory knows that here too, the finish is right down to the last detail.
