Sim racing is experiencing tremendous growth, with more and more professional drivers and celebrities taking on the challenge of this virtual racing sport. The excitement and realism of sim racing are irresistible. Simucube is one of the major driving forces behind this rise. The Finnish company has managed to innovate the sim racing industry time and again with cutting-edge hardware, such as the Simucube Valo GT-23 which we previously had the opportunity to test extensively. Today, Simucube adds a new innovation to their impressive product portfolio: the Simucube ActivePedal Pro, an affordable and streamlined version of their acclaimed ActivePedal! In this article, we tell you everything you need to know about this revolutionary new pedal.

About Simucube: Innovation In Sim Racing

Simucube is known for its innovative solutions for sim racers worldwide. The brand already set a new standard in the market with the launch of the ActivePedal in 2022, and with the ActivePedal Pro, Simucube is making this technology more accessible to a wider audience. The ActivePedal Pro is not just a pedal, but a complete evolution in how racers can customise control of their simulator.

The Revolutionary ActivePedal

In 2022, Simucube introduced the original ActivePedal, the world's first pedal with digitally adjustable force feedback. This groundbreaking technology completely changed sim racing. The pedal offered unparalleled reality and control, allowing users to adjust the power of braking, acceleration and clutch to their personal preference. Thanks to its precise and consistent feedback, this translated directly into improved performance, especially when braking. This pedal quickly became the cream of the crop within the sim racing world and other brands, including Moza Racing developed pedals that are similar in terms of technology.

The new SimucubeActivePedal Pro: Innovation at your fingertips

With the launch of the Simucube ActivePedal Pro Simucube brings this cutting-edge technology to a wider audience. The ActivePedal Pro retains the key features that made the original ActivePedal so popular, such as realistic force feedback and endless customisation options via the software. What makes this version special, however, is that it is offered at a significantly lower price, giving more racers access to this high-end technology.

The ActivePedal Pro can be used as a brake, accelerator or clutch pedal, and everything - from pedal resistance to force feedback - can be adjusted digitally. This makes the pedal extremely versatile and suitable for any type of racing simulation, from Formula 1 to rally racing. Moreover, the ActivePedal Pro is compatible with other pedals, such as the original Simucube ActivePedal and Heusinkveld pedals, making it easy to create a full racing setup.

What happens to the original ActivePedal?

The original ActivePedal, which so revolutionised 2022, will from now on be renamed the Simucube ActivePedal Ultimate. This variant remains the choice for professional motorcyclists and sim racers who want to get the most out of their equipment. With the upcoming software update, the Ultimate gets an impressive 20 kg power increase, which means the pedal can now deliver a maximum force of as much as 170 kg. This makes the pedal ideal for users seeking the ultimate racing experience.

Simucube ActivePedal Pro: Price and availability

The Simucube ActivePedal Pro is available at a price of €1.402,- per pedal (excluding VAT and Simucube Link). If you wish to purchase the pedal together with the Simucube Link, you will pay €1.483,-. Sim racers looking for a complete setup can opt for a set of two pedals for €2.934,- (excluding VAT).

For those looking for the highest standard in simrace pedals, the ActivePedal Ultimate is available for €1.999,- per pedal. This version targets the absolute top of the sim racing world, with power and precision that cannot be matched. The Simucube ActivePedal Pro is from 10 October 2024 on sale via Simucube's official website either at Sim Race Webshop for a very competitive deal.

The advantages of the Simucube ActivePedal Pro

The ActivePedal Pro offers simracers some notable advantages:
