The all-new Murico Raiden X is available for pre-order from today, and this steering wheel just might become the new benchmark for high-end sim racing hardware. With a design directly inspired by hypercars and a finish you can only respect, this is no ordinary steering wheel. This is a statement. A wheel that not only excels in engineering, but also adds a bit of emotion and experience to your racing simulation.
I have been testing this steering wheel extensively for several weeks now, and I can already conclude that it is one of this year's big surprises. The wheel is impressive on several levels and a feast for the eyes as well as in your simulator. From the first installation moments to the long endurance sessions, the Murico Raiden X feels like an extension of yourself behind the wheel and impresses on many levels.
First impression: hypercar DNA in a 280mm frame
As soon as you see the Murico Raiden X sees, one thing immediately stands out: this steering wheel breathes performance and looks authentic. At 280mm in diameter, it feels compact and aggressive - ideal for GT and prototype cars. The full carbon front plate and housing ensure a super sleek look and keep the weight down: just 1.4 kg. The balance between aesthetics and function is spot-on here. Every detail feels thoughtful.
But it's not just about looks. The titanium gearshift paddles and clutches, hand-polished and inspired by the shape of eagle wings, give each link a tactile click that immediately makes you feel you have something special in your hands. While riding, you notice how robust and reliable these components are, even under high pressure during races.
Ergonomics down to the last detail
What Murico has done here is impressive. Instead of a generic design, the Raiden X's grip was literally modelled in clay and then 3D scanned. The result is a perfectly shaped 70A silicone grip that fits seamlessly in your hands. No compromises. No concessions. It feels like the handlebar was built specifically for your hand.
You notice the difference especially during longer sessions. The grip is smooth but remains comfortable without sacrificing control. For maximum grip and control, I always recommend good sim racing gloves to use. This gives the handlebar protection while maintaining a constant and maximum grip. The texture provides just enough friction without feeling aggressive. The fact that the wheel is relatively narrow also contributes to that race car feel - direct, precise and tight.

Full control with 5 rotaries and Muri-Link 2.0
The Raiden X features five 12-position rotary switches, perfectly placed for quick adjustments while racing. Think brake bias, TC levels or engine mappings - all at your fingertips. Each rotary feels solid and clicks with clear tactile feedback, which is essential when you need to change gears quickly and blindly while driving.
The updated Muri-Link 2.0 cable also ensures a fast, stable connection and instant input. No hiccups, no lag. During my tests, there was zero interference or signal loss. The cable is also flat and smooth, making it easy to neatly tuck away in your rig.

Fully customisable
What makes the Raiden X extra special is that you can fully customise it when ordering. For instance, you have the option to choose from different types of rotary encoders. Think colour, resistance and click feel - all tailored to your preference as a sim racer.
You can also choose additional accessories such as custom buttons, additional labels or unique colour schemes for your dials and switches. Murico thus shows that they are not only aiming for performance, but also for personal experience and individuality.
It gives a sense of ownership: you decide what your steering wheel looks and feels like, down to the smallest detail. And it is precisely this degree of personalisation that makes the steering wheel unique and its own. I love it.
Carbon Weave or Forged Carbon: your choice
The Murico Raiden X is available in two finishes: traditional carbon weave and forged carbon. Both variants use real carbon fibre, but differ markedly in appearance and character.
The carbon weave is the classic version as we know it from motorsport. Tightly woven fibres with a recognisable grid pattern give the handlebars a timeless and professional look. This is the finish for purists who like a clean look.
The forged carbon, on the other hand, looks more playful and modern, with a unique marble-like pattern. No two handlebars are exactly the same, giving each one an exclusive look. This option particularly appeals to sim racers who want to give their setup that extra bit of flair.
Both versions feel identical in terms of stiffness and weight, so the choice is mainly visual and aesthetic. Personally, I am a fan more of the weaved carbon look - it looks raw, realistic and high-end, as if it came from the cockpit of a prototype endurance car!

Murico Raiden X Pre-order bonus: this is what you get extra
Who now has the Murico Raiden X Launch Edition ordered for €1,499.00, gets some exclusive bonuses to go with it:
- Full set of coloured rotary knobs (8 pieces)
- Custom sticker service with your own racetag design
- Full-colour sticker pack
- Free shipping
So this launch bonus makes the package even more attractive, especially for sim racers who want to personalise their rig down to the last detail. The custom sticker service is a cool addition for anyone who wants to add that little extra flair to their wheel. It gives a sense of exclusivity.
How does the Raiden X compare to other high-end wheels?
With a price tag of just under €1,500, the Raiden X sits in the same segment as toppers like the GSI Hyper P1, but also the Pokornyi Engineering HYP-R and F499. But in terms of design, ergonomics and choice of materials, Murico dares to do things a little differently. The steering wheel feels less like a technical instrument, and more like an experience. The shape and finish are genuinely super good.
Where other brands opt for a technical approach, Murico chooses feeling. For drivers who value experience and aesthetics alongside performance. And you notice it in everything - from the grip to the gearshift paddles. The steering wheel invites you to race, even just by looking at it. It is functional, but also an art object in your sim rig.
It is also remarkable how light the handlebars have remained without compromising on build quality. The combination of carbon and titanium not only delivers a premium feel, but also ensures surprisingly high durability.

Conclusion: a new star is born
The Murico Raiden X seems to have what it takes to become a real favourite within the high-end sim racing community. The wheel not only looks like a hypercar part - it feels and performs like one too. Everything is tuned for the most demanding sim racer, whether you drive for fun or at the highest level of competition. Knowing that the Raiden X is only Murico's first flagship, this bodes well for future products.
The combination of comfort, technology and aesthetics makes this handlebar unique. You feel passion and craftsmanship in everything. Not a mass production feel, but a carefully developed wheel that knows how to get the best out of you as a sim racer.
Is this the new king among sim racing wheels? I will soon dare to say for sure once I have tested it even further in several popular sims.
